Pre entry is easy with us - complete the short form on the Pre Enter page and pay by bank transfer. No extra fees, Class entries are £8 for non members and £6 for members. Membership is £12 single, £20 double and £30 for a family of four.

The Committee will not be held responsible for any accidents involving competitors, animals, vehicles or spectators on the show field. The Club reserves the right to alter/cancel any class and to refuse entry to the show

Show Jumping

 

All classes are run single phase. Course is in two sections where the first part is untimed and the second part is against the clock. Unless eliminated everyone jumps both sections. Faults from both are combined and  the least faults in the fastest time wins. 4 faults for each refusal, disobedience,  and/or crossing your track and poles down.


Rider or horse falls, 2 refusals/disobedience will result in elimination.

 

All classes are for horses and ponies with separate placings except Chase Me Charlie & Ride and Run. Pony riders to be under 17 years as at 1st January 2026 or must jump as horse. Junior riders will compete against Seniors if horse is OVER 14.2 hh

STARS - Champion of Champions


Held at Aintree Equestrian Centre between 19th and 22nd November 2026 To qualify you must be a member of the Riding Club! The winner of the class championship at the end of the season will be offered the qualification which may pass down if declined. See the website at  https://starschampionships.co.uk for full rules and note that horses must be vaccinated between the stipulated dates to compete at Aintree.



The Sunshine Tour Championships 

 

The Sunshine Tour Championships are held at The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead from Thursday 17th – Sunday 20th September 2026. The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.05m and Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans, plus many more.

 

Qualification: 1st – 3rd in show jumping & 1 - 4th in showing classes.

 

Visit  www.sunshinetour.co.uk for terms and conditions and more information, to register and to submit evidence of qualification or ask the Secretary at the show for a spare form. Registration must be completed within ONE month of qualification.

Equine Sports UK


ESUK Grassroots Championships take place at Arena UK, Grantham, Lincolnshire on 30th July to 1st August 2026. The three highest placed exhibits will qualify in each class - ask for a qualifier card if you are placed in the top three.


 

 RULES AND REGULATIONS


 

The Committee reserve the right to alter or cancel any class and to refuse entry on to the showground.

 

The Judges decision is final.

 

Smart Appearance in all rings.  No Trainers.

 

No misuse of whips or spurs, this will result in elimination from the class


No use of foul or abusive language.

 

Whips must not exceed the length of 30 inches.


Lead rein competitors may not compete the same pony off the lead rein at the same show EXCEPT in the Walk and Trot class

 

All complaints must be made in writing and accompanied by £15.00 which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld.

 

The correct standard of hats must be worn with a chin strap. Adults may sign a disclaimer for the Concours and Fancy Dress classes.

 

No Stallions  - Colts up to the age of 3 at 1st January 25 are permitted but must be handled by competent person over age 16

 

No Horses/Ponies under the age of 4 Years Old to be ridden on the show field.

 

No mucking out of Horseboxes on the show field.

 

Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times on the show field.

 

Please take your rubbish home.
